What is the impact on the handling process of malleable steel pipe fittings?
May 15, 2023
Spinning of malleable steel pipe fittings cast by malleable steel is generally used for processing carbon steel with a thickness of 1.5-2mm or less, or non-ferrous metal parts with a thickness of less than 3mm. For thicker parts, heated spinning must be used. Now introduce the spinning process of several typical parts.
There are two types of head spinning, vertical and horizontal. Large heads are generally spun on a vertical spinning machine. Most of this spinning machine is used in conjunction with an ordinary press. After the dome is pre-pressed by the ordinary press, the flanging is then spun on the spinning machine. Domes and flanges can also be pressed directly on the spinning machine.
The heating of the fillet part of the head is carried out on the heating furnace, and the flame heater is ignited for local heating. Since the sealing head rotates continuously around the main shaft, the heating of the sealing head in the circumferential direction is uniform. Spinning depends on the function of the outer roller, the position of the outer roller is adjusted by the horizontal axis and the vertical axis to adjust the position of the outer roller in the horizontal and vertical directions, and the outer roller itself can also be changed freely, so the outer roller is always in the spinning process Can make good contact with the head.
The shape of the spinning head is accurate, basically without ovality and wrinkles, and the size is relatively small. Operations such as edge trimming and beveling can also be performed on the spinning machine.
The heating sleeve of malleable steel pipe fittings can be made into an open riser or a dark riser. When manufacturing the model, a loose block model equal to the outer circle of the heating sleeve should be made, and the cavity of the rising head of the heating sleeve should be obtained after the manufacturing is completed. When closing the box, put the heating sleeve of the open riser into the cavity from the top surface of the upper box. After pouring, a layer of insulating agent should be sprinkled on the liquid steel surface of the riser to prevent the top surface of the head from being overheated.
When manufacturing the model, a core head with a diameter equal to that of the dark riser is made on the model. When molding, the heating sleeve is placed on the core head and embedded in the mold. After getting the touch, the heating cover just stays in the casting mould, leaving the air vent of riser on the casting mould.
The feeding efficiency of the dark riser of the heating sleeve is higher than that of the open riser of the heating sleeve, so the dark riser of the heating sleeve is more widely used than the open appetite of the heating sleeve in production.
There is a sand ring with a height of 10-40mm at the root of the dark riser of the heating sleeve of the malleable steel pipe fitting (the upper limit is taken for the larger heating riser, and the lower limit is taken for the smaller one), and the sand ring is made by ordinary molding sand while making the sleeve. Yes, there is also a sand ring similar to the root of the dark riser of the heating sleeve at the root of the heating sleeve, but it is not pounded when making the heating sleeve of the bright riser, but is pounded when making the outer mold. The role of the sand ring is to prevent the heating sleeve from directly contacting the casting, causing defects such as sand sticking and carbon increase, and to facilitate cleaning. The combustion reaction of the heating sleeve produces a large amount of gas, so the heating sleeve should be made with exhaust holes.
